The Stags have not had the ball on their half of the field for more than a few seconds this overtime in a complete reversal. They will need to turn up the pressure to earn more than a tie.

8:43 A nice steal by Jean Fauchet almost set up Fairfield with a clear path to the net, but a Hartwick defender cleared the ball out of danger at the last second.

End of First Overtime

The first overtime comes to a close with still no score. Fairfield had the two best chances of the half, with Hartwick only really getting close to the goal once. This seems to be headed towards a tie game, but there have been a few chances. Both teams appear a little tired, but Fairfield has shown they can strike out of nowhere.

First Overtime: 5:00

9:04 Rutledge gets free down the sideline and bounces the ball off his head twice before it is played out of bounds by Hartwick, leading to a corner kick by Fairfield, taken by Lentine, but a foul is called while the ball is in the air, ending the threat immediatly.

5:16 Rutledge takes a long pass and controls it for a second before it is knocked out of bounds for another Fairfield corner. It is played out by Hartwick, for another corner, which is again cleared.

The Stags have been on the offensive most of the overtime, but have not been able to connect on any opportunities.

3 Minutes before the overtime starts, two 10 minute overtime periods, with the first goal ending the game.

Fairfield has not played in an overtime game yet this season, while Hartwick played one on September 16 against Lafayette at the Penn Soccer Classic, which ended in a 0-0 tie.

The Stags have played four one goal games this season and are 4-0 in those contests. Hartwick is 0-2 in two one goals games so far this season.

End of Second Half

2:49 Handball called on Fairfield after the ball deflects off of a Stags player's arm, leading to a free kick outside the box for Hartwick. Jonathan-Garcia Torres takes the kick for Hartwick, but the shot is cleared out. Mike Lentine chases a long ball down the sideline, but the goalkeeper Vuolo charges out and clears it before Lentine can reach the ball.

Neither side could keep the pressure on in the final minutes of the game to convert on a goal and we are going to overtime.

Second Half: 5:00

7:38 Francini chases a ball outside the box and falls on it, leading to a hand ball. The free kick is taken by Hartwick right outside the box and headed out by Jack Cleverly.

5:10 A mistake by Francini nearly costs Fairfield as he cannot get a pass out to Clements, bouncing it short. Luckily Fairfield's Cleverly played it out of bounds.
